Love Letters
Getting a review from those whom I've photographed is like getting a love letter from a family member.
We've spent time together, adventured, and created memories that will last forever. The time that I spend
with you at the wedding or session, making your images into artwork, and finally delivering your memories
is a meaningful process for me. Knowing that it's meaningful to you all, means the world. I have heard others call reviews "love letters" and I don't think there is a better way to put it... take a peek.
My husband and I are both notoriously camera-shy, and have never had a professional photo-shoot before, so weren't sure what to expect for our engagement shoot with Catherine! However, we were absolutely delighted with her photos - she made every effort to give us a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon, and the pictures capture real smiles. We were so pleased that she was able to photograph our wedding day as well - Catherine was professional, discrete and produced an album which will be treasured for the rest of our lives. So many of our guests mentioned her specifically after the wedding, and let us know how polite and kind she had been, and how much they loved her pictures. W especially like that the pictures show how we felt on the day - no uncomfortable posing or rigid family portraits, we are all laughing and smiling! I would thoroughly recommend Catherine, both for the quality of her images and her professionalism. She worked incredibly hard to make sure we got pictures we will cherish forever!

"Catherine is a wonderful photographer! From the moment we arrived for our engagement shoot, she put us at ease (the box of donuts certainly helped!). While we thought taking engagement photos could be a bit awkward, she made us feel like naturals! Taking the photos was truly a lot of fun, and we even got in the water for some waterfall pictures (very cold, but very cool results!). It was a ton of fun and I think I could even convince my picture-phobic fiance to do it again. Not to mention the photos are fantastic and I will cherish them forever. We couldn't recommend Catherine more!!"

"We had a great photoshoot with Catherine! Catherine is incredibly friendly and the whole experience was most pleasant. She made us feel very comfortable beforehand - gave some tips on how to prepare for the shoot, and had some wine and music going on to help us (me and my boyfriend) relax. It felt very natural and effortless, the scenery and Catherine's company contributed to creating an everlasting, beautiful memory. It was looaaaads of fun, and I would happily do it again. "My fiance and I had the pleasure of taking part in a photo shoot for our wedding with the extremely talented Catherine Johanna. She swept us off to a beautiful coastal village where she took advantage of details in our surrounding and made us feel completely relaxed. One the many things that was so wonderful about this experience was Catherine's professionalism, she listened to what we wanted and completely personalised the shoot. Including some ice-cream tasting which has turned out to be our favourite pictures, highlighting who we are as a couple perfectly!! We were both feeling a little nervous about the shoot but Catherine explained how the shoot would work, what would look most naturalistic and she was very patient. Most of all she made us feel relaxed through her bubbly personality, made us laugh and she took a genuine care into our wedding plan. "On the day of my graduation, Catherine sent me a message asking if she could meet up with me at some point. What I had thought would be just a quick hello & casual catch-up convo turned into a full-on photoshoot - she had surprised me by bringing along her camera and asked if she could get a couple shots of me in the quad. Safe to say one shot became two, then twenty. I must say, I genuinely really just do not like taking photos or looking at photos of myself (my parents will attest to this after spending over an hour trying to get at least one decent photo) (sorry again)... but with Catherine, it was different. She made me feel incredibly comfortable posing for the camera (despite the fact that I felt a bit silly twirling and laughing), so every moment captured was entirely genuine and natural. But not only that, Catherine made me feel GOOD about myself, something that you just can't say the same for every photographer. I left the shoot feeling even more special, and I owe that to Catherine's beautiful compassion, smile and sense of humour. I would gladly shoot with her again, I would recommend her to anyone, for any project, and I felt honoured to have had the opportunity to work with her."
